Next Week’s Readings

18/11/2010

I seem to have been nothing but a silo blogger of late, when I’ve been a blogger at all. So much to catch up on, so little time and energy — so much to do! Anyway, it’s all good — or at least any of it that interest you is, dear reader, provided you’re still reading.

Enough of this havering and back to the silo with you, Mr Philip! I hear you say.

I’ve broken my silence this evening to remind you of a couple of readings next week. First, on Tuesday, I’ll be at Newington Library, Edinburgh — not, as initially advertised, Morningside — to read with the esteemed Ryan Van Winkle, the launch of whose fantastic first collection, Tomorrow, We Will Live Here, I’m missing as I type. If you’re far flung from Edinburgh, you can start following Ryan’s blog tour now. The reading starts at 7 pm.

Then, on Wednesday, if you’re in Newcastle or thereabouts, you can catch me reading at the Lit & Phil alongside Red Squirrel Press poets Kevin Cadwallender, Tom Kelly, Eleanor Livingstone, Alistair Robinson and my fellow Salt poet Rob A Mackenzie. That also begins at 7 pm. It’s a Lit & Phil fundraiser and costs £5/£3. I’m particularly looking forward to this, as I haven’t read in Newcastle before and I have family connections in the region.
